I love Mondays… well, I love the first Monday of the month because it means  MOMday Morning is back! August is our 4th month of spreading love in blog-ville.

Are you feelin’ it?

I sure am! MOMday Morning has been a huge blessing to us and I hope it has been for you too!

What can readers expect to find at OC Family?

We have almost 30 local OC Bloggers who write about everything from Disneyland to how to do a strip tease for your husband. We’re really trying to make OC Family not only a resource for OC Families but also a place where readers can come to hear a good story, snag a good giveaway, or get a delicious recipe.

Do you have to live in the OC to “get” the site?

I don’t think so. We have bloggers who write about food, photography, beauty, politics, design and even manners. We’re not just mom bloggers either; we have two dad bloggers who bring their perspective to the mix. There is a lot of OC at OC Family, but we have much, much more.

What do you blog about?

I love to blog about issues I’m passionate about or issues that give parents and caretakers information and choices. I’m an advocate for doing what is best for your family, but educating yourself on all the options out there. I mix in personal stories (mine or somebody else’s) and I think humor and occasional silliness are crucial.

    fave thing to do in the summer (actually all year!) – walk across the street to enjoy the beautiful white sand beach and blue/green water on the gulf of mexico; this has got to be the most beautiful, FREE entertainment in the world

    We go to a friend’s house every Sunday during summer. He has a pool we play water volleyball and cook. The kid’s and the adult’s have a blast…Look forward to those Sunday afternnons.

    I love taking the boys to the summer reading program at the library and hanging out in our backyard swimming and jumping on the trampoline.

    We love to head North to Grandma’s house and take her pontoon boat on the lake and just float around all day, jumping into the water whenever it gets too hot or when the breeze dies down.

    My girls like to sleep in our tent in the yard! Being that I have Rheumatoid arthritis, I camp out with them (..i can’t get any stiffer anyway..HA)

    I love to go down the river…I just have a hard time getting anyone to go with me:-(

    We love to go to the amusement park. I love roller coasters. Only one of our kids will ride them but the rest enjoy the smaller rides.

    My favorite thing to do in the summer, is take my granddaughter to the park to feed the ducks and then come home and make homemade ice cream together. She can think up some pretty crazy flavors! It’s the best way to cool off together!

    I love sleeping in during the summer…even just for a few minutes. This summer we have been on "staycations"… zoo, meuseums, parks… all local.

    I like to travel to local towns – check out the shops and farmer’s markets, and wander around the parks – it’s cheap but fun!

    In the summer I love to barbecue out in our patio with friends and then stay out and have a fire pit. Good times!

    There are so many things we love to do in the summer! We love playing in the kiddie pool, going to the zoo, going to the farmer’s market, hiking, walking to the library.

    Every summer my family goes on lake vacation in MN. Been doing it ever since I was little (and even when we lived in MN). Now I'm "all grown up" and carrying on the tradition with my little family. 🙂

    Our favorite thing to do in the summer is go to the beach house in CT. My mom and stepfather come in from OK, and all the family from CT, NY, and MA get together.

    Believe it or not…I love back-to-school shopping with my daughter (when she’s had enough sleep, of course). It reminds me of when I was going to back to school and I love picking out outfits for her to wear. This year is going to cost a small fortune because she had a growth spurt; we just got done trying on all her old jeans and they’re all way too short.

    We are lucky enough to have a pool in our backyard. I love when my husband and 2 kids play in the water while I rest myself and my growing belly on the floating chair with a glass of cold water in my hand!

    The kids and i enjoy setting up a kiddy swimming pool and filling it full of water balloons. We play catch and i usually end up the most soaked.

    We like to swing on the swings we have hanging on the 100 year old oak trees in our yard, or sit on the porch and eat watermelon or homemade ice cream. Simple pleasures are the best!!

    During the summer I like to take day trips to the lake and hang out all day! We also like to camp, but the babies can only handle so much of that!

    Something fun I like to do in the summer is take my bike to the park. I then find a shady tree, put down a blanket and read a good novel!
