Our next giveaway is hosted by one of my friends (in real life), Andrea, from B.Y.O.G. (Bring Your Own Gown)! As in the B.Y.O.G…. in case you didn’t know they’re famous! If you haven’t already noticed from the pictures the winner will get to choose one of their own Gowns!!

Tell me a bit about your family…
Love to! I have been married for 14 years to my sweet and very adorable hubby Jeff. We have two boys. Jaden is 9 and already knows what he wants to be. An artist and professional skateboarder. He is always using his God given talents to paint and create beautiful works of art. Noah is 7 and is my little cuddle bug. He is fascinated by all living things! He is constantly catching weird bugs and tells me that he wants to have a house full of animals and creatures to take care of. Apparently we got his name right!
Why did you decide to create B.Y.O.G.?
(short version)
I wore the ugly, blue hospital gown when I had my babies. I felt very exposed, uncomfortable and unattractive in it. Come to find out, I was not alone.
(long version)
B.Y.O.G. came about in a dream. I literally went to bed one night and had a vivid dream about it! I saw the name, packaging and myself being interviewed on a television show…Oprah?? Ha Ha! I woke up in the middle of the night and wrote everything that I could remember about the dream down on paper. It felt like a fire was ignited in me. Over the next several months I began working on the first design and setting up the structure for the business, knowing the whole time that I did not have money to actually make this happen…God worked that one out! I can’t emphasize this enough! I had a dream. I had no money or experience. I remained faithful even during the worst of circumstances and kept going one step at a time. Don’t give up your dream!!! God is so faithful! You will meet obstacles, plow through, anticipate the next one and continue on with grace.


Who are some of the celebs who have worn B.Y.O.G.?
Past celebs include Gwen Stefani (this was an unforgettable moment.) Tori Spelling, Jessica Alba and Alison Sweeney from Days of Our Lives. I recently received an order from Sarah Michelle Gellar.
What are three must have items soon-to-be-moms should bring to the
hospital? (besides a B.Y.O.G., of course)
1. Non-slip socks.
2. Tennis balls to massage your back during “back labor.”
3. Lip balm

    Ok i just bawled my eyes out reading that story about Marissa. I needed to read something so uplifting!

    I really really would love one of these gowns. The Havana Rose pattern is gorgeous! I remember watching Tori and Dean and salivating over that gown. I also love that they carry plus sizes! Yipee!

    First time on your blog and these gowns are too cute. Think the love bird gown in just adorable. Due in April but tend to be on bed rest for weeks so would be nice to do it in style.

    I love B.Y.O.G! It is something I have been planning to do when we have our second baby. This would be such a great gift for my pregnant sissy.

    I can't decide which I like better…the Blue Lagoon or Havana Rose!

    1st of all… I have not looked at your blog in forev!!! Guess that's what having a baby does haha!
    But I love this idea! I had my lil girl at home so I never got the chance to wear these cute things but I know my sil, who is due in Dec, would love a stylish gown!!!! I love that cocoa chanel one!!

    All the patterns are lovely! Hard to choose. If I win, I'd give this to my friend who is having her second baby in early November. I really like the Love Birds pattern. But I really LOVE the one in the pics but I don't see it on their website. The green and gray one. My friend loves those colors so that would be the perfect one for her.

    Why didnt I think of that!!! Seriously the thing i think new moms should bring with them is FOOD. I gave birth at 12:43am after being in labor all day. During labor you cant eat anything so after you give birth you are just famished. The cafeteris was closed and no resturants were open so I had to wait 6 long hours!

    So…I'm not in this stage of life although I hope to be at some point. But I really appreciate what Andrea had to say about pursuing dreams. So, so, so encouraging.
