Now a little interview with Suzie Says the party planning queen…
Favorite party you have planned…
My friends and I have done dozens of parties – every theme you can imagine. I don’t have a favorite (except for the bridal show my friends gave Kara Noel and I wasn’t involved). For me the funnest time is when our little committee meets to plan. We have known each other for so many years. We always eat, laugh, and are brutally honest, as when we nixed Stephanie’s idea (Blah Blah Blahger’s mom) to hire a harpist for a shower. Sometimes we are a little cranky which makes it much more fun!
You are famous for your cheese ball! Will you share the recipe?
Cheeseball Recipe
~1/2 cup cheesed Whiz
~8 oz neufachtel cream cheese
~1-1 1/2 t. of liquid smoke
~3 cups (12 oz) Sharp Grated Cheddar Cheese
~Chopped nuts
Place cheese whiz, cream cheese & liquid smoke in a food processor with chopping blade. Process till smooth.
Add grated cheddar.
Process till smooth.
Place mixture in a bowl and chill 45 minutes.
Form into a ball and roll in chopped nuts. (I like pecans)
Chill.
Set out at room temp for 45 minutes before serving.
I am “almost famous” for this recipe. So it better not show up in a cookbook with someone elses name #@$%!!
2 tips to make a great centerpiece are…
#1 If it’s for a dining table make sure your guests can see over it.
#2 For a serving table make it tall and large and have parts of it on different levels. You can use boxes of various sizes and drape your table cloth over them. Spread parts of the centerpiece (such as vines, flowers, tiny lights & ribbon) between the serving dishes.
What are you getting me for Christmas?
I don’t know. I’m checking all the gumball/trinket machines at various grocery stores.
.
Don’t forget to enter all our current Birthday Bash giveaways…
…vintage inspired baby or toddler tee from Karen Eileen Designs here!! Ends 9/26
… custom hand hand stamped initial necklace from Kristen’s Custom Creations here! Ends tonight!!
See the full list of giveaways coming the next 2 months here!

I like the Suzie says post about buying all the same socks, it's such a great idea! I also never knew about the fabric softener! Also love the post on making your kids childhood magical, so sweet and I totally agree. I love doing things like that, randomly throwing up the tent in the living room for my son to camp in, reindeer tracks in the snow, every year he gets a special gift from santa, a different snow globe. It's fun!

I'm trying to teach hubby to do that but after 7 years, I think I've failed. Maybe if I make him in charge of cleaning the fridge every week? asthenight at gmail dot com

Honest, it's just a coincidence that it is the first one. I love and totally agree with her sock post. I purchase only one style of socks for my kids and then I never have to match socks. I simply stack them and place them in the drawer. I don't buy them in bulk all at once though. As they get holes, you can throw one away and there is still a mate for its still whole partner. I probably buy a new pack every 4 or 5 months and add it to the collection. Only exception is when there is a size change and well then, circumstances necessitate a full re-buy.

Hi, my favorite is Always save ALL your tiny pieces of ribbon! Mostly because I do this too. I now have friends & family giving me their bite & bobs. I think they just don't know what to do with it.

My favorite post is about having all the same socks. This is something I live by. we only have three kinds of socks -white, brown, and black socks. all the same. And I love your mom and she loves me too!!!

I'm hoping to get one of these awesome cake plates, they are beautiful. I wanted to steal yours when you took it to Fudds for Jason's birthday, haha!

Hey there! I'm follwing, and I'm a FB fan. My favorite Suzie Says post is the "Save All your pieces of ribbon" post. I love that, and should have been saving them all along!

That cake plate is wonderful. I love to entertain.
