Fun with Food…

Last night while cruising the net I found a contest at 5 Minutes for Mom called Fun with Food. The contest is put on by PREGO and I had made spaghetti that night using PREGO!! So I think that is a sign that I’m suppose to win!! Maybe not… but it is a great excuse to post the cute pics of our spaghetti dinner. Eli was cracking up because there was noodles on his tummy. He is growing up…

Check out the contest and all the other great entries here. Also check out the whole 5 minutes for Mom site, it is a lot of fun!

The following photos aren’t part of the contest… just the rest of Eli’s spaghetti adventure…

A huge bag of squash, a huge bag of pears, a huge bag of green beans, a huge bag of grapes, a huge bag of cherry tomatoes, 3 baskets of strawberries, 2 apples and a bunch of bananas = $12!

Bows, bows, bows…

You may or may not have noticed the lid of the month has bows clipped to it. You may or may not have noticed that Cora’s Lid in our Election Adventure had a bow on it.

Notice!
You can use any hair bows to clip on your Lid!!!

I found Kristy and she is making AWESOME bows to compliment my Lids!!

These are finely crafted alligator clip hair bows. Contact Kristy to buy these bows or for custom orders!! KristyWatkins@gmail.com

Cora (and me) in one of the bows sans her Lid. She is wearing the Tomboy Halloween Tee.

Bottle Bowling…

I modified this from and idea my friend Rachael saw in a magazine. Here is how to make a bowling set out of old H2O bottles!
You’ll need H2O bottles, a hot glue gun, mod modge, rice (or sand or beads or…) , paper and a ball.

First pour about an inch of rice into each H2O bottle. This will give some weight to the bowling set. Then hot glue the lids on the H2O bottles (H2O bottle lids are a huge choking hazard so be safe and glue them on!).

Cut paper into strips…

Don’t be shy with the mod podge! You’ll need a lot because of all the nooks and crannies on the H2O bottle. Dipping the paper into the water will help the paper conform to the shape of the bottle.
