Shears for All!!

I started using nice kitchen shears to cut up kiddo food quickly (hot dogs, green beans, grapes, anything, really!)

Shears soon became one of my most useful kitchen tools!

Using them to cut raw chicken for casseroles is a HUGE time saver!

Do you know where the Easter Bunny lives?

I do!!
We were off to the lake to feed Cora… I mean the ducks…

Suddenly, in the middle of our pirate pretend silliness, Eli gasps and says…

It’s true!
See…

Cora Jane also had a bit of a reality check…

Don’t fret my dear… with those legs you can get away with anything!

Twilight

My Love is home from work.
Our tummies are satisfied after dinner.
The sun is still up.
Time for play in Summer Twilight.
Wild joyrides on the snake board were had by all.

4th of July Craft: EASY Centerpieces

I’ve heard that necessity breeds genius…
We were cooking.
I asked Eli to get out the tin foil.
He got it out! Suddenly I needed to get rid of loads of tin foil (because of course I couldn’t throw it away). Craft Time!!
First bake cookies…
You’ll need… Start with the can and tissue paper:

Wrap the strips around the can and secure with tape.

And I wrapped toilet paper rolls stuffed with candy…

There are loads of possibilities…
Now you have centerpieces and favors for you 4th of July festivities!! If that is just a bit “too crafty” for you try this:
Gather a cloth napkin (or any fabric) to the spout of a sippy cup and tie with a ribbon.

Thanks for crafting with me!!!

More foil crafts coming… I had A LOT of foil to make use of!

Vegas at a close…

Cora Jane throws a fit on the ground because we won’t buy a jumping doggie for $10!!

Off to the arcade…

This picture tells a story 🙂

Pit Stop!

We got home safe and sound and I’ve finally finished the laundry (not folded yet). We had to wash EVERYTHING to get the smoke smell out… ug!
It’s good to be home 🙂
