Pregnancy food

IMG_8200

I’m still alive my invisible friends!!

It’s been a week, and I can’t say why I haven’t posted. A whole lot of busy and a whole lot of business as usual! I’m still preggers but I haven’t felt the baby kick yet. I’m a bit on edge being just over 20 weeks along and all. Is that strange??

I don’t have much to complain about as far as pregnancy symptoms go. No nausea, heartburn, swelling blah blah blah around here. I did fall asleep 3 times yesterday while playing with the kiddos. One second I’m playing My Little Ponies get attacked by pirates and the next my eyes are rolling and I’m full-on-asleep drool and all.

AND I crave toast, cereal and fruit. I can’t get enough. The picture above is a dinner I made for myself while preggers with Cy. Tonight the family will have enchiladas for Cinco de Mayo and I’ll be savoring the sweet tastes of Shredded Wheat!

Our enchiladas weren’t intentional either. Around 3ish I made the connection and decided to go with it! It was divine intervention 🙂
OB was fine with it and the heartbeat was strong and steady at my appointment last week… still freaks me out though. I’m super encouraged to hear you didn’t feel movement till week 23!! REALLY! I can’t believe we won’t see you either 🙁 miss you all so much. SO MUCH!

I think I’m shocked that you are 20 weeks! I guess I found out about it late in the game though. I’m all about sweets and fruit too! Cereal makes me sick though. My placenta was positioned in the front of my belly with Kai and I didn’t feel him kick until 23 weeks. Maybe something like that is going on?

One of my other friends said the same thing about the placenta!! I have an ultrasound next week so they should be able to tell me that, right?
The time has gone by fast. I think it’s because we wait so long to tell people. I was 13 weeks when we told our families and just past that when we told friends!
Can’t wait to see your lil’ Lily (is it still Lily?). I have something for you since I missed the shower!

We had Mexican food all week, too, in honor of Cinco de Mayo (it was unintentional at first and then became intentional). I didn’t feel Eliza kick until after 20 weeks, maybe about 23 weeks? I’m sure you’re fine… what does the OB say? LOL about falling asleep during Ponies. I remember doing that, and then waking with a start and thinking “WHAT DID I MISS?!” Happy halfway through your pregnancy! I can’t believe we won’t see each other again before your baby is born!! UGH!
