Suzie Says…

I have decided to start a segment called “Suzie Says…” Suzie is my beautiful mom. And she has come up with some good advice over the years… along with quite a bit of silliness!!

Suzie says…
“A person should remember their childhood as being magical.”

And I can say mine truly was!!
I never had to worry with the difficulty of life. My parents knew that most of my life would be spent worrying about bills and cleaning pottys so for the brief time (and how brief it was!!) I was with them we would have fun! They made the decision that my childhood would be magical. Many of us think that it will just happen… but it won’t, it takes some thought on our part. We need to make an intentional effort for our kids. Give your children memories of their tooth fairy leaving a “fairy dust” trail from the windowsill to their pillow, of Santa’s jingle bells ringing from the roof or of making dinner for a neighbor in need.

    I love how Suzie says….
" A person should remember their childhood as being magical."

So sweet, so true, so easily done, but sometimes parents get so caught up in 'life'.. bills, work, disagreements to make small adjustments to make life special for their kids..

    Love the Suzie-isms!!

Were I to design a family, it would be this one, God bless your lovely family! Yes, childhood should be magical!!!
I met and loved a wonderful mother "Daise" when I was in my late twenties, she was my best friends mother. I keep waiting for the other shoe to fall, but she was always kind and loving, and she forgave my lack of trust and only loved me more! She and her daughter tought me how to love and made it possiable to have a family of my own. I can tell your mother Suzie is such a gentle soul! I will watch for "Suzie Says" to make me smile!
Thank you for the chance to win one of her treasures ( I know just the place to keep it! On my counter with all the items I use regularly on it till I bake, this way I would get everyday enjoyment>> a Martha Stewart idea!)
